Dorian Concept 'Toothbrush / Booth Thrust' 12"

Dorian Concept 'Toothbrush / Booth Thrust' 12"
The Austrian producer and prodigiously gifted keyboardist Dorian Concept - who released his second album ‘The Nature Of Imitation’ on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint in 2018 - drops two classic club tools.

Both tracks hail from 2012-13: ‘Toothbrush’ was shared to a handful of DJ friends and was subsequently rinsed by the likes of Rustie, Mark Pritchard and Modeselektor; whilst an early incomplete demo of ‘Booth Thrust’ was posted on his Soundcloud profile. Neither have ever seen an official release, however both tracks have remained staples of Dorian Concept live sets.

For fans of Zomby, Machinedrum, Iglooghost.

Translucent orange 12” vinyl in a white paper inner housed in 3mm spined outer sleeve. Artwork by Joseph Durnan.

“Dorian Concept creates something that ’70s and ’80s electro-funk auteurs like Kraftwerk, George Clinton, and Roger Troutman hinted at: computer music that uncannily imitates the funk, rather than just faking it.” - Pitchfork

“A masterclass in delicate-yet-epic electronics.” - Crack Magazine
