S U R V I V E 's/t' 12" EP
Out of print 2014 EP from S U R V I V E, which features the guys who did the score to Netflix's Stranger Things.
This much anticipated EP follow-up shows S U R V I V E evolving inside the increasingly crowded world of analog synth worship. While not totally abandoning the beat-driven sound that made their debut so great, we find them now much more willing to break out of the traditional song structure. Side A is 10+ minutes of ambient composition that is a natural departure from their previous work. Side B is considerably more akin to their release on Mannequin, retaining the horror meets Knight Rider vibe. Side note for all you heads out there–this record features the classic sounds of the KR55 drum machine
"Did you imagine that the next synth supergroup would rise from the heat and dust of Austin, Texas? Did you even think that they'd be a new synth supergroup?...'S U R V I V E' sounds like solar systems colliding and resonates with humanity's onward charge, ever onward, toward eternity."
