Known for their colourful, retro-futuristic style and playful attitude, they stood out from the darker punk acts of the time. Their music blended fast punk rhythms with pop melodies, sci- fi themes and a sense of humor. Their debut album, Can't Stand The Rezillos (1978) is considered a classic of the era. The band initially split in 1978 and with some members going on to form The Revillos, with a similar name and sound.
