At the end of their US tour in June 1985 The Sisters of Mercy effectively split up. Returning in November 1987 with ÔFloodlandÕ (UK #9), and still aided by the trusty Doktor Avalanche, Eldritch hired former Gun Club and Fur Bible bassist Patricia Morrison to complete the new line-up. Featuring the hit singles ÔThis CorrosionÕ (UK #7), ÔDominionÕ (UK #13) and ÔLucretia My ReflectionÕ (UK #20), production duties were shared with none other than famed Meat Loaf writer Jim Steinman.
