Various 'Cosmic Cowgirls and Female Outlaws 1951-1979' LP

Pre-order. Due 16th October.

Red vinyl.

A love letter to the lone wolf and the unapologetic women who carved space for fearless female musicians in a murky, male-dominated landscape. This is a heavy, uncompromising set of psychedelic and acid-tinged country-folk, full of mysticism, strength and a deep feel for the natural world.

These are frontier sorceresses, conjuring savvy, sultry songs that still hold their ground. Grab your saddle and Stetson, and let these wanderers lead you further out. Includes tracks by Susan Christie, Bridget St John, Linda Martell, Nancy Priddy, Bobbie Gentry, Brigitte Fontaine, The Kossoy Sisters and more.
