Song of Songs is the second collection of hard-bop avant-garde musings by legendary trumpeter Woody Shaw on the Contemporary label, produced by Lester and John Koenig. Featuring a heavy-hitting lineup including Benny Maupin, George Cables, and Henry Franklin, this Jazz Dispensary Top Shelf reissue brings the album back on vinyl after five decades, cut from the original analog tapes (AAA) by Kevin Gray, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing, in a gatefold tip-on jacket.
