An album of new recordings and reimagined classics exploring the storytelling of Yusuf ‘Cat Stevens’ in the 50th anniversary year of his recorded music career. The voice of a generation once again paired with producer Paul Samwell-Smith breathing new life in to the classic ‘Cat Stevens’ sound. Loosely based on the journeys of the Tillerman, as he recalls his travels and life lessons to a younger generation. Like many records in the 60's - half of the songs are covers and half are originals, except that all the covers are his. He is presenting and celebrating some of his earliest recordings as they should have been recorded.This is the first record Yusuf has produced with Paul Samwell-Smith, who produced all his early Island recordings including seminal Tea for The Tillerman. The unique chemistry they capture is clear in the classic organic sound that is produced.
